Sumeet obtained his Juris Doctor Degree from Bond University located in Gold Coast, Australia in 2016. He was called to the Alberta Bar in 2018.

Sumeet is a member of our team focusing on personal injury litigation. His experience working as in-house counsel for a national insurer has given him practical experience and is invaluable in terms of his ability to guide injury victims and their families through the litigation process. 

Prior to joining Yanko and Popovic, Sumeet worked both as an in-house defense litigation lawyer and also as a lawyer at a national plaintiff personal injury law firm.      

Sumeet understands the legal system and its various participants through his experience and believes that his skill and compassion can assist injured individuals to resolve their claims in an effective and efficient manner. His advocacy experience includes appearances in the Provincial Court of Alberta, and the Court of Queen’s Bench of Alberta, as well as having conducted Mediations.

When he’s not negotiating on behalf of Yanko and Popovic’s clients, Sumeet enjoys traveling, playing and watching sports, and personal fitness.
