EDUCATION

In 2014, Husna obtained her Law and Society and Political Science degrees from the University of Calgary.

In 2022, Husna earned her LL.B. (Honours) from Queen Mary University of London.

EXPERIENCE & BACKGROUND

Husna’s commitment to client-centred advocacy dates to 2015, when she assisted Indigenous claimants with their sensitive legal claims under the Indian Residential Schools Settlement Agreement as a caseworker.

As a student-at-law, Husna navigated complex plaintiff-side class proceedings and attended all levels of Alberta courts with Canadian and U.S. counsel, which strengthened her foundation in the procedural demands of complex litigation. Her advocacy experience in that Calgary-based international law firm also adds an international perspective to her Canadian legal background.

Outside the practice of law, Husna enjoys travelling, hiking, dancing, writing poetry, and learning to play the Kabul rabab.
